Welcome to the website of the Education for Democracy Index (EfDI). The EfDI measures how well a country’s educational policies and practices promote democratic competences. The EfDI is part of a research project funded by the Leverhulme Trust until January 2028. It is run by a team of researchers based at the LLAKES Research Centre, University College London and the University of Roehampton.
